i'm done with Asasi year... so, 5 months break before degree started..
May 17, 2019 1. Asasi Kejuruteraan (PI009) 2. Asasi Sains (PI080) 3. Asasi TESL (PI020) 4. Asasi Undang - Undang UiTM (PI005) 5. Asasi Undang - Undang KPT (PI007) Pusat Asasi or Centre of Foundation Studies was established in November 2009 with the aim of preparing students to pursue degree programmes in critical areas in UiTM and other Public University (UA).
ramai juniors yang bertanya pasal Asasi Undang-undang..
so, i'm going to answer few of the Qs given..
Maaf, i'm not going to explain the differences between UiTM and KPTM or what are the subjects or how long it takes to finish Asasi year or such as u can google it and there are so many posts by other bloggers on this topic...
i'll go directly ok..
but this is my answers, based on my experiences, based on my opinion..
well, any courses memang susah.. tak kira la masuk matrik ka, form 6 ka, diploma ka, foundation ka, asasi ke, smuanya susah...
As long as u put efforts, everything will be less harder..
i don't say it will be easy, but it'll be less harder... hehehe~
sejujurnya, it's superly hard..
when u're in there, don't say u're straight As, or you got A+ for history or BM or English, everyone there got the same result..
U're straight As or not, u got 4 or 5 As, don't worry, once u're there, your SPM result is nothing...
penat2 kau belajar, masuk sana, they treat u equally...
tak kira la kau best student kebangsaan ka, kau budak jenayah sekolah ka, u'll be treated the same..
i'm not sure bout the requirement sebab ada yang straight As, ada yg 4,5 A pun ada...
and, betulkan mindset, if u're so damn good waktu sekolah pun, tak jamin kau boleh dapat dean list every sem macam makan koci..
kecuali kalau kau study spuluh kali ganda daripada persiapan kau nak spm dulu..
Owh, i'm an Asasi student at shah alam, so, i'm not sure the condition in merbok and kuantan..
kau masuk Asasi law, tak bermaksud u'll be a lawyer..
u can go into so many courses afterward...
sumpah memang best kalau dapat masuk shah alam..
memang seronok.. depan UiTM tu sek. 7...
kau nak breakfast McD, brunch KFC, lunch subway, tea kat secret recipe, dinner pizza, late dinner kat tutti frutti pun boleh...
nak habiskan duit pun senang...
sunway pyramid, sunway lagoon, klcc, sacc, midvalley, timesquare, pavi...
tapi, hidup mesti ada batas...
normal la aku tengok student asasi gi midnight movie and overnight kat mcD...
but, if u can handle your lifestyle like that, without rosakkan your future, silakan..
but, if and only if, u know yourself, and u know u can't handle it, please don't do it...bahaya...seronok sekarang tak jamin seronok kemudian..
aku nasihat sekarang bukan sebab aku baik sangat, tapi sebab aku nampak dah kesan dia.. ramai yang hanyut... aku pun hampir2..
2nd sem, mcd tu dah jadi macam rumah aku je.. overnight takyah cakap la..
but bring along your books.. study there is better..
yang perempuan, confrim2 korang kat kolej mawar...
kau nak makan apa, kau nak beli apa, Dataran Cendekia kat atas tu pun dah lebih dari cukup...
yang laki, pandai2 la korang hidup.. hahaha..
so, takat ni je la dulu kot.. bayangan asasi lagi, nanti ar sambung...
sape2 yang nak tanya, boleh contact anytime, insyaAllah mana boleh tolong, aku tolong...
until then,
syera

If you have just sat for SPM last year and plan to continue your higher education at a public university, you have the option of applying for a university foundation programme known as Program Asasi.
Pusat Asasi or the Centre of Foundation Studies was established at selected public universities with the aim of preparing students to pursue bachelor degree programmes at the respective universities. The duration of the Program Asasi takes one to two years depending on the programme. Students take a combination of subjects and courses are conducted via lectures, tutorials and practical laboratory work. Assessment for the courses includes tests, quizzes, assignments and examinations.
Students interested in this programme would need to apply online through a centralised processing agency known as Bahagian Pengurusan Kemasukan Pelajar (BPKP) via www.upu.moe.gov.my in January for its annual intake in July. For the current intake, the application period is from 19 January to 6 April 2015.
To apply, students must:
- be Malaysian citizens
- possess SPM qualifications or its equivalent with a minimum of five credits including Bahasa Melayu and a pass in History (A credit for Bahasa Melayu in the July paper is acceptable)
In addition, applicants must fulfil the minimum requirements for the specific programme they are applying for.
The selection criteria applied by BPKP require that applicants:
- achieve good academic results in the SPM examination and have participated actively in co-curricular activities
- possess a combination of subjects taken relevant to the programme applied for
- possess good subject grades for specialisation purposes
- pass the interview for study programmes that require interviews
